2006 Great West Pre-Season Schedule Previews

- Southern Utah: The Thunderbirds
have a very difficult schedule in 2006. In
fact, even with two DII games scheduled they
are near the top in the country in terms of
difficulty. Florida Atlantic, Southland powers
McNeese and Texas St., and GFC power SIU highlight
the non-conferance slate. Then of course,
they have conference powers Cal-Poly and UC-Davis
on the road.
- S. Dakota St.: The Jackrabbits
also have tow sub-IAA games on their schedule.
However, they also face a few powerhouse clubs.
2005 national runner-up UNI, SLC champions
in McNeese and Nicholls, and national power
Montana. Davis is at home and Poly is on the
road in 2006 conference play.
- UC-Davis: In 2006 non-conference
action, the Aggie's will face TCU, Youngstown
St., Montana St., Northern Colorado, San Diego,
and Central Arkansas. In addition, they will
be traveling to face Cal-Poly.
- North Dakota State: The
Bison are have certainly proven they have
what it takes to be a competitive I-AA ball
club. This year's schedule is loaded with
extremely difficult games in IA Ball St. (this
could be an upset for the Bison), Northeastern,
Stephen F. Austin, GA Southern ... not to
mention the Big-10's Minnesota.
- Cal-Poly: The Mustangs
have a double-dose of IA clubs in 2006, with
San Jose St. and San Diego St.. In addition,
they will face I-AA power Montana, and have
UC-Davis at home.
