Pete's 2007 Big South Pre-Season Schedule Previews
  1. Gardner-Webb: Being on top of the Big South is what G-W fans are used to. However, since becoming a "part-time" member of the SoCon, this has not been the case. So, with games against Wofford and Appalachian St., the 2007 season looks to be the more of the same. Also, CCSU and an improved Liberty will not help.

  2. Coastal Carolina: Again, Coastal will not be a surprise to anyone his year. Although there is no "money game" in 2007 ...contests with James Madison and Furman will make it seem just as difficult.

  3. VMI: VMI has a very well-balanced schedule for 2007. There is a DII, I-AA/FCS transitional member Presbyterian, non-scholarship Robert-Morris, Patriot member Lehigh, and CAA power JMU. In addition, is arguably I-AA/FCS's biggest rivalry against the Citadel.

  4. Charleston Southern: CSU has really had an enormous upgrade in their schedule in 2007. Outside of the conference members, what was once primarily DII teams has been replaced with a quality schedule. A schedule which includes the Citadel, Wofford, and a trip to Hawaii.

  5. Liberty: The Flames may win the Big South and still not see the post-season. Why? ...two twos. There are a pair of DII games on the 2007 slate, and one of which is a traditional power in Shippensburg. Also, traditional power Toledo is the team to watch for in the MAC this year. We also find Elon and William and Mary ...victories in these is more than an achievable goal.
